95 LB Slantboard Squat Challenge (have ambulance near)

95 LB Slantboard Squat Challenge

The video above shows the 95 LB Slantboard Squat Challenge I went for. With 25 lbs on each side of the barbell, totaling 95 lbs, I implemented a challenging routine. I focused on a 5-second lower, 5-second pause, and 5-second ascent, emphasizing time under tension and muscle control during deep squats. This was part of my AMRAP (as many reps as possible) routine, and it truly pushed my limits.

For those unfamiliar with slant boards, I highly recommend them for enhancing workout experiences. The unique positioning places added stress on the knees, making it an effective tool for strength, connective tissue building through the joint, and growing muscle mass through the muscles around the knee. It may be daunting for those unaccustomed to such positioning, but the challenge is a good one to try.

During the session, I found myself challenged both physically and mentally, pushing through the burn and experiencing some muscle shake towards the end. It was a humbling and rewarding experience. I managed to complete approximately nine or ten repetitions, though the challenge was tougher than it appeared. Please double check on the workout and tell me what I did!

I encourage others to try this workout, but with caution and proper warm-up. Time under tension training can significantly improve strength and muscle growth, without nearly as much load. Share your experiences with this workout in the comments, and let’s challenge ourselves to new heights! If you’re interested in trying a slant board, I’ve included a link in the comments for your convenience.
