Upcoming Events for Seniors – Quad Cities Senior Expo 2022

With the pandemic (hopefully) in our rearview mirror, there are more and more opportunities for seniors and other individuals to get back out in the community to participate in events and enjoy the wonderful world that life has to offer. Part of these opportunities includes various events catered towards seniors and older adults to improve varying aspects of their lives. The Quad Cities is no stranger to offering numerous opportunities for seniors and older adults to find resources to help them navigate health and life. Another upcoming example of this is the Quad Cities Senior Expo, helping older adults across the Quad Cities find the help they need for varying other assets of life. Let’s take a look at some of the details of the event.

The Quad Cities Senior Expo has numerous aspects that can be looked over to fully see what is being offered. Some of the aspects we will be taking a look at are:

  1. Logistics of the Event
  2. Vendors
  3. Keynote Speakers

Let’s take a closer look at these aspects below.

Logistics of the Event

The QC Senior Expo will be hosted at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline, Illinois. The address for the establishment is 1201 River Drive, Moline, IL 61265. The TaxSlayer Center was formally the Mark of the Quad Cities, and resided right on the Mississippi river in downtown Moline. The event will take place on Thursday, September 8th, from 10 a.m.-4p.m. When it comes to costs, one of the great aspects of the event is that it is completely free. The head organizers, Anika Honaker and Randy Augsburger wanted to make the opportunity free to attract as many older adults in the Quad Cities as possible. In addition to the free entry into the event, parking will also be free for individuals. It is advised to make sure to park in the large parking lots on the west side of the TaxSlayer Center to be able to take advantage of the free parking. The event is open to everyone in the community.

Vendors will come from a large variety of backgrounds, including health and wellness, financial services, senior housing, entertainment, and many more.
