Intermittent fasting is an incredibly popular way to monitor the overall amount of calories you eat, to hopefully lead to long term weight loss. Our most recent video analyzed a recent study that claims intermittent fasting is not good for weight loss.
What is Intermittent Fasting?
If you are new to intermittent fasting, it is essentially when you eat a large amount of your calories during a designated time block during the day. For most people, this usually involve skipping breakfast, and eating from about 12 PM to 6 PM. After that, you essentially are “fasting “for the rest of the time.
The Issue With The Study
In the article referenced in our live stream above, they noticed that individuals who did have a longer fasting period, noticed no noticeable change in weight loss. A huge problem with the study, is that it was completely self reported data by the participants, and also it was not completely calorie control.
