7 TIME-SAVING Workout Hacks! (do before workouts)

7 Time-Saving Workout Hacks

Maximize your workout efficiency with these simple hacks to save precious time both at the gym and afterward. I do all of these things almost every single workout, and have noticed that I cut back on quite a lot of transition time when doing them.

  1. Fully Charge Your Headphones: Nothing kills the vibe faster than dead headphones. Always double-check or have a backup pair ready.
  2. Handle Texts and Emails Beforehand: Don’t let notifications distract you mid-workout. Take care of urgent messages and emails before stepping into the gym, so you can give your full attention to your training.
  3. Pre-Select Music or Podcasts: Decide what you’ll listen to ahead of time. Scrolling endlessly for the right playlist wastes valuable energy. Prep your audio content to hit the ground running.
  4. Create a Flexible Plan: Start with a structured plan for 2-3 key exercises. As you progress, you can adapt and add variety while staying on track.
  5. Prepare for Post-Workout Plans: Know your next steps after the gym, whether it’s heading to work or relaxing. Organize your clothes, snacks, or essentials if you need them for the next activity to keep transition time as seamless as possible.
  6. Set a Workout Time Limit: Establish your cut-off time to add urgency and keep your workout pace steady. Knowing your time constraints before you start, and when you need to end exactly, always helps me to end my workout on perfect time.
  7. Use the Restroom: A simple but crucial step—take a bathroom break before starting to avoid interruptions.
